Organization settings
Admin → Settings is for Tenant Owners.
Organization
Section titled “Organization”The organization’s name, as entered at sign-up. Change it and choose Save. It’s used in emails such as the welcome message for new users.
Your logo replaces the standard logo at the top of signing pages and signing emails (invitations, reminders, copies, completed documents, declines and cancellations). The emails still say they were sent through Team EditSign on behalf of the sender.
Choose Upload logo and pick a PNG, JPEG or SVG. It’s resized in your browser to at most 800 × 240 pixels and stored as a PNG. A wide logo on a transparent or white background works best: it’s shown up to 40 pixels tall, on white. Replace logo swaps it; Remove goes back to the standard logo.
Custom signing domain
Section titled “Custom signing domain”Give signers your own address, such as sign.yourcompany.com, instead of the standard one. Signing invitations, reminders and completed-document emails link to it, and signers see it in their browser. Your team keeps using the app as before.
- Enter a subdomain of a domain your organization owns, such as
sign.yourcompany.com, and choose Add domain. A domain without a subdomain (likeyourcompany.com) can’t be used. - At your DNS provider, add the CNAME record shown: from your subdomain to the target on the page. If your domain uses Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only.
- Wait for Active. The domain is checked automatically, or choose Check now. Once it’s active, a certificate is in place and new signing emails use it.
Keep the DNS record in place while the domain is in use. Remove domain switches new emails back to the standard address; links in emails already sent with your domain stop working.
Microsoft 365
Section titled “Microsoft 365”Connecting your Microsoft 365 organization lets your team sign in from Teams and with Sign in with Microsoft, and open and save files in OneDrive and Teams. Until it’s connected, people from your organization who try to sign in with Microsoft see Your organization isn’t set up yet.
There are two ways to connect:
Approve as Microsoft 365 admin (recommended). A Microsoft 365 administrator (Global Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator or Application Administrator) approves the app’s permissions once for the whole organization.
- Choose Approve as Microsoft 365 admin. You’re sent to Microsoft.
- Sign in as the administrator and accept the permissions.
- You’re returned to Settings with Microsoft 365 connected.
The approval has to be started from this page by a Tenant Owner and completed within 15 minutes. If you aren’t a Microsoft 365 administrator yourself, start it on your device and let the administrator sign in at the Microsoft prompt. (Adding the administrator as an owner doesn’t help before the connection exists, because users added in the app sign in with Microsoft.)
Or connect with your own work account. Choose Sign in with Microsoft and use the Microsoft account with the same email address you use in the app. This connects the organization without an administrator; each person may then be asked to approve the app’s permissions the first time they use it, unless your organization’s Microsoft 365 settings restrict that. If people later see Approval needed or can’t open OneDrive and Teams files, use the administrator approval.
The connected organization’s Microsoft tenant ID is shown once connected.
A Microsoft 365 organization can be connected to only one account. If it’s already connected elsewhere you’ll see That Microsoft 365 organization is already connected to another account.
What the app can access
Section titled “What the app can access”The app works only on behalf of the signed-in person, with their own Microsoft 365 permissions. It asks for permission to: sign people in and read their basic profile; read and write the files they can access (OneDrive and Teams channel files); list the teams and channels they belong to; send email as them (signing invitations and reminders); and search the directory for colleagues’ names and emails. It doesn’t have organization-wide access of its own.
Joining
Section titled “Joining”Let anyone in my Microsoft 365 organization join. When on, anyone from your connected Microsoft 365 organization gets a User account the first time they open the app, while licenses are available. When off, only people you add in Users can sign in.
Microsoft Teams
Section titled “Microsoft Teams”- Connect Microsoft 365 (above).
- In the Teams admin center, go to Teams apps → Manage apps → Upload new app and upload the EditSign app package (a
.zipfile supplied by the service operator), or add it from the Teams store if it’s listed there. - Make it available to your users: pin it with an app setup policy (Teams apps → Setup policies), or let people add it themselves from Apps.
In Teams the app has personal Editor and Signing tabs, and can be added as a tab in channels, group chats and meetings. People are signed in with their work account automatically. See Signing in.
