Quick start for your organization
This is the path for the person setting the app up for an organization. That person becomes the Tenant Owner and can later make others owners too.
-
Create the account. Go to the sign-up page and enter your name, work email, organization name and a password of at least 10 characters. This creates your organization with you as its owner.
-
Confirm your email. Open the link in the confirmation email. It’s valid for 24 hours; the sign-in page has a Send it again link if it expires. Confirming signs you in.
-
Choose a plan. You land on Admin → Billing. Pick a plan and pay through the checkout page. The app is available to your organization once the subscription is active. See Billing and plans.
-
Connect Microsoft 365. Open Admin → Settings → Microsoft 365 and choose one of:
- Approve as Microsoft 365 admin (recommended). A Global Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator or Application Administrator signs in and approves the app’s permissions for the whole organization. If that isn’t you, start the approval yourself and let the administrator sign in at the Microsoft prompt.
- Sign in with Microsoft with your own work account. It must be the Microsoft account for the email address you signed up with. People may then be asked to approve the app’s permissions the first time they use it, unless your organization restricts that.
One Microsoft 365 organization can be connected to only one account. See Organization settings.
-
Give your team access. Either add people one by one in Admin → Users (search your Microsoft 365 directory or type an email), or turn on Let anyone in my Microsoft 365 organization join under Admin → Settings → Joining. With automatic joining, people get an account the first time they open the app, while licenses are available. See Users and licenses.
-
Install the Teams app. Upload the app package in the Teams admin center (Teams apps → Manage apps → Upload new app) and pin it for your users with an app setup policy, or let them add it from Apps. See Rolling out in Teams.
